Former champions Bengaluru Bulls were never on track this season. Though they bought raider Vikash Kandola for 55.25 lakhs at the auctions they could never forge a perfect raiding combination. The Bulls also had the service of raider Abhishek Singh who was instrumental in the success of U Mumba a few season ago. But their inability to use them proper resulted in the Bulls being pushed to the lower half of the points table. Though they recovered a bit in the last few matches, the Bulls are staring at an early exit in season 10. With just 7 victories from 19 matches, the Bengaluru Bulls have performed below par. 

They lost their last match to the Puneri Paltan who defeated them by 9 points. The Bulls have started using young raiders like Sushil and Akshit who have been impressive. Captain Saurabh Nandal and Ran Singh tackled with class to earn 7 points collectively. But the overall raiding income was too less to trouble the Paltan. Veteran defender Surjeet too leaked points due to unforced errors. Defenders Saurabh Nandal and Ran Singh Raniya will be the key to their success. The biggest challenge for the Bulls will be their back up defenders. Apart from Saurabh and Ran Singh, they do not have any experienced defender.With 2 more matches left in the league stage, the Bulls needs to take their opponents by the horn. Especially the right corner position seems to be their weak point which their opponent may have already identified. They have the option of players like local lad Arulnathababu and Mh. The Gujarat Giants have been the mavericks of this season. They took off in a lukewarm manner but consistently troubled top teams. They had some nervous moments during the season, but the Giants have secured the 4th spot in the points table after winning 11 out of their 19 matches. They have won 3 out of their last 5 matches. The Gujarat Giants need just one more victory to secure their qualification. 

They defeated the mighty Bengal Warriors in their last match. Raiders Rakesh and Prateek Dahiya exploited the weak Bengal defense to earn 24 raid points collectively. Gujarat secured the lead at half-time as they inflicted an early all-out. But they kept up the pressure through the match. Captain Fazel Attrachali took charge as he scored 5 tackle points. He did get a green card for his aggressive moves but that was essential for the survival of the Giants. Defenders Sombir and Dipak Singh added to the tally. Sombir has executed 43 successful tackles in 19 matches while Dipak Singh has been lethal in the last few matches. This victory has taken them a step closer to qualification. But the Giants will have to get used to some heavy workload as they take on the Bengaluru Bulls in back to back games. The season is not yet over for the Bulls as they take on the Gujarat Giants. With a lot of issues in their team, the Bulls have worked hard in the last couple of weeks. They will unleash young raiders Akshit and Sushil. Both will trouble the Gujarat defense but none of them will be able to score a Super 10. Captain Saurabh Nandal and Ran Singh will execute some daring tackles in the match. But this may not be enough. Veteran Surjeet will trouble the Gujarat raiders initially but he may lose steam as the match progresses.

The Gujarat Giants will start with a bang as raiders Rakesh and Prateek Dahiya will help them take the lead. Defender Sombir will be ruthless as he will assist his captain Fazel in some daring tackles. The Giants will be dynamic with their plans and they may surprise the Bulls post half-time. The Bulls can pull this off only if they can stun the Gujarat Giants with some unconventional moves. Else this match will ensure that the Giants qualify for the next round.
