The Telegu Titans fans were delighted to see their team win the first match of the season. Finally Pawan Sehrawat and company opened their account with a victory over the Haryana Steelers. Though the margin of victory of just 1 point, the Titans will celebrate as they have got over their habit of losing. On the other hand, Bengaluru Bulls are travelling towards a dead end. They got thrashed badly by the Puneri Paltan in their last game. It was such a shocker that it may take a couple of matches for the Bulls to get back in shape.

Hence this is a contest between out of form teams. Though the Titans won the match it was more due to the last minute breakdown in the Haryana Steelers. The Bulls lost to the Puneri Paltan by a margin of 15 points. Their raiding was abysmal while they their defense was more or less spineless. 

This contest may prove to be the most entertaining one of the tournament as both teams are prone to unforced errors. Their desperation may result in a high scoring match much to the delight of the kabaddi fans.

Former champions are at the crossroads in season 10 as they are stranded at the 9th position in the points table after playing 7 matches. They have lost 5 games which is a surprise to their fans. They got thrashed by a margin of 25 points against the Puneri Paltan. The biggest reason for this debacle is their fragile raiding. The Bulls had signed Vikash Kandola at the recently held auctions. This was to bolster their raiding prowess which also has Bharat Hooda. But unfortunately, the Bengaluru Bulls have a raiding efficiency of just 32% which is lowest among all teams. 

They have conceded 251 team points apart from 11 all-outs in 7 matches. Fortunately, they are behind the Telegu Titans in both categories. Apart from the disastrous raiding, the Bulls have a porous defense too. They have managed to earn just 71 tackle points in 7 matches. Even though Captain Sourabh Nandal is one of the best defenders on the circuit. 

The former champions have not been able to build any momentum. They could score just 8 tackle points in the last match against the Puneri Paltan. They were all-out twice in the first half itself leading them to a panic room. None of their raiders could score a Super 10. Hence their contest with the Telegu Titans will be a challenging one. Their fans have never witnessed such desperation in their team. The southern derby has always been an exciting affair. The Bengaluru Bulls have dominated the Telegu Titans over the years. The Bulls have won 14 out of their 21 encounters. The last time the Bengaluru Bulls lost to the Titans as in season 4, way back in 2016. But then Bengaluru was a team with superstars. The current team has some exceptional players but most of them are out of form.

Defenders Surjeet and Aman have leaked points where as raider Neeraj Narwal has not been used efficiently. The Bulls do not have many options to replace these out of form players. They have tried left corner Ran Singh but he too is past his prime. This contest with the Telegu Titans could be the worst nightmare for the Bengaluru Bulls.

Finally the Telegu Titans have won their first match of the season as they conned the Haryana Steelers in a close contest. The Titans were not at all spectacular in the match, but it was the last minute glitch from the Steelers that helped the Telegu Titans open their account in the points table. Their defenders were the ones who set up the match scoring 18 tackle points in the match. Captain Pawan Sehrawat scored a Super 10 but that advantage was nullified when Haryana raider Shivam Pathare executed a Super raid to pinch the Titans.

Fortunately for the Titans, left corner Sandeep Dhull scored a Hi 5. Defenders Mohit and Ajith Pawar were vigilant in the second half, thus helping their team win their first match of the season. Ajith Pawar scored 7 points in his 8 tackles thus scoring a HI 5. But once again a few weaknesses were clearly visible in the Telegu Titans. Their raiding is totally dependent on Pawan Sehrawat and he does not have much support from other raiders. Rajneesh has failed to deliver while Praful Zaware has to punch above his weight. 

The Telegu Titans won their first match after losing 5 consecutive games. They have conceded the highest points by any team apart from conceding the highest number of all-outs. Their raiding efficiency is just 36% while their success rate in team tackles is 33%.

Pawan Sehrawat is the lone warrior with 63 raid points from 50 successful raids. He has the highest number of Super 10’s recorded this season. But the Telegu Titans cannot win matches just on his performance alone. They need to complement each other and make sure that they support Pawan in his scoring. The moment the opposition is able to trap Pawan, the Titans run out of options.

The southern derby is a wonderful opportunity for the Titans to redeem themselves. They have never defeated the Bulls in their last 13 matches. The closest they came was in season 8 when they forced a TIE. But this is the best opportunity for the Titans to get even as the Bulls are in very bad shape. Titans have to take their chances against the Bulls and give their fans a few moments of happiness.

Welcome to the southern derby in Chennai as the Telegu Titans take on the Bengaluru Bulls. There is not much to choose between these teams as both have conceded the highest points as well as the highest number of all-outs. Hence this match could be a comedy of errors. 

The Bengaluru Bulls have not been able to set a decent combination. Raider Bharat Hooda will score a Super 10 but he may not get enough support from the other raiders. The Bengaluru defense will be fragile as they will leak a lot of points. Left cover Rohit Kumar will shine with a Hi 5.

The Telegu Titans too are sailing in the same boat. Their star raider Pawan Sehrawat will score a Super 10. Backup raider Praful Zaware will perform better than the previous matches. The Telegu defense might just be the difference between victory and defeat. Defenders Sandeep Dhull and Ajith Pawar will trouble the Bengaluru raiders in the first half. 

This match will be full of fireworks as both teams will concede lot of points as well as all-outs. The team with lesser unforced errors will win the match.
