They lost to the Gujarat Giants in their last match. Captain Maninder Singh and raider Nitin, both scored a Super 10. But their defense leaked 25 points to Gujarat raider Prateek Dahiya alone. In another match when their defense was on target, their raiders could not earn enough raid points. They were forced to settle for a TIE against the UP Yodha. This was a match that the Warriors should have won. But a last minute tactical blunder cost them. Placed 9th in the points table, the Bengal Warriors do not have much time to revitalize themselves. The Haryana Steelers are riding their luck in this season. After hitting a few speed breakers at the beginning, the Steelers still have not gathered enough pace. Placed 7th in the points table, they are still searching their X factor. They drafted Siddharth Desai for a hefty amount during the auctions but he has failed to impress. Coach Manpreet has been trying out different combinations in order to win games consistently as well as survive the entire season. They lost to the Jaipur Pink Panthers in their last match. Young raider Vinay has punched above his weight, but he was off-color against Jaipur. Hence Haryana got back veteran Chandran Ranjit who did not disappoint.

He scored a Super 10 while veteran Prapanjan too contributed to the teams cause. But once again Siddharth Desai failed. Apart from the raiding issues, Haryana melted in their defense. Before this game, the Steeler's lost to the Patna Pirates in a similar fashion. Hence this encounter with the Bengal Warriors becomes very important. Haryana’s raiding efficiency is just about 32% which is slightly better than Telegu Titans who are at the bottom of the points table. Their success rate in team tackles is about 42% which is much better. Defenders Rahul Sethpal and Mohit Nandal have worked in tandem but none of them are in the top 10. The Bengal Warriors need to worry about their defensive combination. Shubham Shinde will shine once again. Captain Maninder Singh and Nitin will score freely and one of them will get a Super 10. But the Bengal Warriors have to worry about not conceding too many all-outs. Bengal may lose a bit of intensity in the second half. 

The Haryana Steelers may be struggling but they will take this match as an opportunity to exploit the Bengal Warriors.
