Welcome to the eastern derby as the Bengal Warriors get ready to take on the Patna Pirates at the Sree Kanteerva Stadium at Bengaluru. The Warriors stunned Tamil Thalaiva in their last game which was a high scoring one. Captain Maninder has been rock solid in all the games he has played. He scored 16 raid points in his last game against the Tamil Thalaiva. Bengal Warriors are yet to lose a match in this season. They are placed 2nd in the points table with 2 victories under their belt and 1 Tied game. They may not look menacing but their tactics are noteworthy.

They went all-out against the Tamil Thalaiva in their last match and maintained the intensity through the 40 minutes. They inflicted 3 all-outs in the match thus snatching the game away from their opponents. Bengal Warriors have got a decent trio of raiders with Maninder Singh, Srikant Jadhav and Nitin Kumar. One of the most entertaining teams of the league, the Patna Pirates have been 3 time champions. They groomed kabaddi starwarts like Manpreet Singh and Pardeep Narwal in the early years of the league. Season 9 was a forgettable one for the Pirates. But they have got a good start to season 10 as they have won both their matches.

The Patna Pirates hammered the Telegu Titans in their first match and then went on to beat the Gujarat Giants. The trio of Sachin Tanwar, Manjeet and Sandeep Kumar earned 26 raid points in the first match while Sachin and Manjeet struggled against Gujarat. Young raider M Sudhakar was impressive in that match earning 6 raid points. Hence the Pirates are still trying out various options for the third raider. 

Captain Neeraj Kumar was among the top 10 defenders last year. But this time around he does not have the services of left corner Iranian Mohammedreza who was bought by the Puneri Paltan in the auctions. Hence Neeraj has to work with newcomers. All-rounder Ankit has filled in the shoes as a left corner. All-rounder Sajin Chandrashekar and defender Krishnan have contributed handsomely in the first 2 matches.

Hence the Patna Pirates will expect this young brigade to form a wall though the season. This young bunch of defenders will have to work overtime against raiders like Maninder Singh. Patna Pirates still needs a better performance from Sachin Tanwar and Manjeet. Though the Pirates have played just 2 matches, Sachin and Manjeet need to earn heavily in all their games in order to give enough cushion to their young defenders. 

The Patna Pirates have dominated Bengal Warriors over the years. They have won 13 out of their 21 matches. The Pirates scored their highest team total of 69 points in a match against the Warriors in season 7. Though they struggled against Bengal last year.

This will be an epic encounter as the Pirates are up against an inform Maninder Singh. If Patna is not able to tame Maninder, this might be a crucial blow to their chances this season.

Welcome to an entertaining bout at Bengaluru as the Bengal Warriors take on the Patna Pirates. Patna is yet to generate enough momentum. They had a tough time against the Gujarat Giants last week. Raiders Sachin Tanwar and Manjeet have just 1 Super 10 between them in 2 matches. Both will struggle against the Bengal defense. 

Patna Pirates will use the services of Sudhakar and Sandeep Kumar to support Sachin. Captain Neeraj Kumar will play an important role in tackling Maninder but he may lose intensity in the second half. All-rounders Sajin and Ankit will perform out of the box to counter the Bengal raiders.

Raider Nitin Kumar will earn handsomely for the Bengal Warriors part from Maninder and Srikant Jadhav.
