The former champions went in to the mat unbeaten in their 4 matches. They were the only side was had not lost a game in season 10. But they were in for a surprise as the Paltan blew their cover very early in to the match. The Bengal defense crumbled under pressure as it could earn just 3 tackle points in 40 minutes. Neither they could stop the Puneri raiders not their raiders could escape the clutches of Paltan’s Iranian all-rounder Mohammedreza who scored 6 tackle points. The best defender of the season Bengal Warrior’s Shubham Shinde too was out of sorts in this match as he earned a green card. 

This defeat was not just a shocker but it has also disturbed the score difference for the Bengal Warriors in the points table. Pardeep Nawarl and Surinder Gill have earned 75 raid points between them in 4 games while defenders Sumit and Gurdeep have executed 25 successful tackles between them. The UP Yodha thrashed Haryana Steelers in one of their games as they won by a margin of 30 points. The Yodha has a slight issue with its third raider as they have used the services of all-round Vijay Malik who has been decent with his performance.

In their last match against the Bengaluru Bulls, left corner Sumit and defender Nitin Panwar could not open their account which proved to be the difference as the Yodha lost by just 2 points. UP needs to take care of such inconsistencies in the remainder of the tournament. The Yodha clan has executed 47 successful team tackles which is the second best in the league.

Welcome to the battle between the former champions Bengal Warriors and the UP Yodha. Bengal has to recharge and regroup after the nightmare against the Puneri Paltan. They have to improve on all quarters as Captain Maninder Singh will lead the charge. He will score a Super 10 but the other raiders will struggle against the UP defense. Left corner Shubham Shinde will be effective as he will target UP raider Pardeep. 

But overall the Bengal Warriors may be lethargic in their approach. Pardeep Narwal and Surinder Gill will adapt as per the situation. But both will score quickly in the first half. UP will lead by half-time but they may have to work overtime in the second half. All-rounder Gurdeep and defender Nitish Kumar will trouble the secondary Bengal raiders while left corner Sumit will attack Maninder Singh to keep him off the mat.
