Dabang Delhi KC have always been one of the best young team’s in the PKL and they have only gotten better where they lost the championship in season 7 and bounced back by winning the championship in season 8. Since then they have been in the playoff race every season. Ahead of the season Dabang further strengthened their raiding department by bringing in big man Siddharth Desai who found his mojo and form towards the backend of the season 10 and single handedly powered the Haryana Steelers to the playoffs. 

Ashu Malik with 276 raid points was the top raider of the tournament and the team’s main man Naveen Kumar managed to play only six games and scored 71 raid points in 6 matches. With this powerful raiding trio and backed up by some young defense who rose to the occasion last season. Mainly Yogesh Dahiya in the right corner earned 74 tackle points and 59% tackle success rate. On the left corner Ashish was equally potent with 48 tackle points. These corner combinations will once be key to Delhi’s success in this fixture.

U Mumba Preview

U Mumba, currently in their rebuilding phase, have found a young star in Amir Mohammad Zafardanesh. They retained him ahead of the season, and the availability of his national team head coach, Gholamreza Mazandarani, further aids his growth. Zafardanesh has amassed 141 raid points and 7 tackle points.

Interestingly, they released left raider Guman Singh, who was their top raider last season. However, they acquired a similar replacement in the form of Manjeet, who scored 115 raid points and has 5 tackle points. Manjeet brings calmness and is a clutch player, with his height being a distinct advantage. Rinku and Sombir are the primary right and left corners, respectively.
