The Gujarat Fortune Giants have been reckless, careless, rigid, maverick and lucky!!!! They started of with a standard SoP of controlling the pace of the game and constricting the opposition into submission. But their plan didn’t work and neither did the pair of Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal. Apart from an odd performance, the Fortune Giants were settled in the lower part of the points table. The opposition had figured out their strategy and the Giants did not have any contingency plans. They realized their folly and post their covid recovery they made a grand comeback. The main reason of their revival was the introduction of raider Pradeep Kumar. Though they faltered once or twice they still kept their hopes alive till their last game where they beat traditional rivals U Mumba by 3 points. They were not in command in this encounter as they were lucky to hold on to the lead and qualify for the next stage. But now they face an even bigger challenge, Bengaluru Bulls. What may work for the Fortune Giants is that the Bulls haven’t been in the best of form off late. The Fortune Giants beat the Bulls in their last meeting as raider Pradeep Kumar hammered 14 points and their defence earned 11 tackle points. They will have to play with the same mindset in this eliminator.
Overall Gujarat has not been earning well, neither their defence has been spicy. They depend on raiders Ajay, Pradeep Kumar and Rakesh. Though left corner Girish Ernak has been quite consistent, others need to chip in. Their defence will have to isolate Pawan Sehrawat very early so as to keep the Bulls under check. The Bengaluru Bulls have been one of the best teams in the tournament along with Dabang and the Pirates. Hi flyer Pawan Sehrawat has led the team with style and swag and no wonder he is the highest grosser of the season. He has earned 274 points from 220 successful raids. But then the Bulls have been domesticated in their last 5 games where they could win only 2 out of 5. They ended at the 5th spot in the points table as their fans almost had an heart attack. But the Bulls are big match players. They have the temperament as well a the skill. They will be more confident than the Fortune Giants as they approach this eliminator.
Raiders Chanran Ranjit gave good support to Pawan in the first half of the tournament. Post his injury, raider Bharat has been the torch bearer apart from GB More. Hence the raiding department is sorted. Their defenders have also performed well. Defenders Aman, Saurabh Nandal and Ankit have been consistent apart from an odd blemish. But their performance in the last few games was a cause of worry for their coach. They did earn 19 tackle points in their last league game against the Haryana Steelers and they will have to repeat this against the Fortune Giants. Their defence has not been able to handle raider Pradeep Kumar who was their nemesis in the last game against the Fortune Giants.

This will be another epic clash between contrasting teams. The Fortune Giants have reached the eliminators with a lot of effort and luck. The Bengaluru Bulls have been consistent throughout the season. The Fortune Giants are mavericks and unpredictable. The Bulls have for Hi Flyer Pawan who can decimate any defence. Both teams will try and exploit each other in terms of their weaknesses. Currently the Bulls are suffering from a fatigued defence which needs to pull up its socks one last time. The Fortune Giants have a lot of issues in their defence which is the weak link. The only way the Fortune Giants can beat the Bulls is by isolating Pawan and keeping him off the mat for long periods. The Bulls will expect Pawan and Bharat to earn heavily in the first half so that they can keep the Fortune Giants gasping for breath. Raider Bharat can be their pacemaker.
The Bulls will once again look forward for another massacre by Pawan. If he gets going it will be very difficult for the Giants to tame the Bulls.
