They were stretched in their encounter with arch-rivals U Mumba which they won by just 2 points. Gujarat Giants lost their fourth match to the Patna Pirates. Though this was a close encounter, Gujarat tried to experiment midway during the match. Their main raider Sonu was out post half-time and they gave some match time Prateek Dahiya, right cover Deepak Singh and all-rounder Narender Hooda.

Left cover KS Abhishek has been a good addition to their defense. But veteran Sahul Kumar needs to get back in form in order to help his team defend more efficiently. Sahul Kumar was one of the best defenders of season 9. But Sahul Kumar has executed 26 successful tackles in 19 matches. But the highlight of the Jaipur defense is their captain Sunil Kumar and Iranian Reza Mirbhageri who have executed 96 successful tackles collectively in 21 games. To top it all, left corner Ankush continues to haunt the opponents with 62 successful tackles in the season.

Hence the Pink Panthers form an impregnable wall in every game. Jaipur has won 15 out of their 21 matches and they are on course to the next round where they will attempt to defend their title. Their raiding looks a bit fragile if at all Arjun Deshwal fails. Arjun was the MVP of season 9 and he has continued the form this year too.
