Captain Jaideep Dahiya and defender Mohit has executed 39 successful tackles in 8 matches. Right corner Rahul Sethpal scored a Hi 5 in the last match. Hence the Haryana Steelers have started surprising their opponents with this young brigade. The defending champions are comfortably placed in the top 5 in this season. They have been generally consistent. Jaipur has won 4 out of its 8 matches. It has scored a couple of TIED games which could have gone either way. But the Pink Panthers were happy to share points rather than lose the match. Their second TIED match was against Dabang Delhi. This was due to the lapses in their defense. Arjun Deshwal scored a Super 10 while left corner Ankush was lethal while scoring 7 tackle points. But the other team members could not contribute and the Pink Panthers settled for a TIE. 

Jaipur’s efficiency in team tackles is about 39% while its success rate in team raids is about 35%. This is due to the fact that none of the other raiders have consistently supported Arjun Deshwal. He has scored 76 raid points in 8 matches which include 4 Super 10’s. But their next best raider has been Ajith who has earned 41 raid points in the season. But the lack of raiding points does not bother Jaipur on most occasions as their defenders are able to compensate. Captain Sunil Kumar and Ankush have been impressive but overall their defense has a few issues too. Jaipur had to replace veteran defender Sahul Kumar midway. His replacement at the right corner Lucky Sharma scored 2 tackle points in a low scoring game. 

The defending champions are still riding on team effort even with issues in their raiding as well as their defense. They will be up against a spirited Haryana Steelers who will be raring to exploit their weaknesses. Jaipur has not lost to Haryana since season 8. They have won 7 out of their 12 encounters. Hence the Pink Panthers will be quite confident as they take on the Haryana Steelers. Jaipur did beat the UP Yodha earlier in the week by a margin of 17 points. But their next match was a low scoring one against the Tamil Thalaiva which they won by just a point. This proves that whenever Jaipur has issues with its defense or raid earnings, it slows down the game hoping to sneak in a victory. This strategy may not be a long term one for the Pink Panthers.

The defending champions will be up against the young guns in an all-important match. Haryana Steelers will be making various plans to neutralize the defending champions. Raiders Vinay and Shivam Patare will be successful against the Jaipur defense. They will be quick to score in the first half. Captain Jaideep was not up to the mark in his last match, but he will make amends in this one. Defender Mohit and Rahul Sethpal will be ruthless against the second and third Jaipur raiders. If they are able to keep Arjun Deshwal out of the equation, Haryana will seal the match by half-time.

But Arjun Deshwal will not be easy to catch. He will score a Super 10 though the Pink Panthers will struggle to earn raid points. Left corner Ankush and Captain Sunil Kumar will be effective in the first half. But Jaipur may lose a bit of intensity in the second half and they may concede an all-out. This will be a very exciting contest as both teams are prone to breakdowns suddenly. If both teams leak points due t unforced errors, this will be one of the most entertaining match of 2024.
