Arjun has been innovative and aggressive in his approach through the season. He has adapted as per the opposition to scored 11 Super 10’s in 17 matches. Veteran raider Ajith has contributed nicely but the Pink Panthers lack a good third raider. Rahul Chaudhary does perform ones in a while but he cannot be expected to survive the whole match. Young raider Bhavani Rajput performed brilliantly in a couple of matches but he needs to be consistent as this is a long season.

The Pink Panthers defeated the in-form Tamil Thalaiva in their last match. It was a clinical performance as Arjun Deshwal scored 13 points in addition to 9 raid points from Ajith. Defenders Sahul Kumar and Reza Mirbhagri were ruthless as they earned 8 tackle points between them. After some initial hiccups, left corner Ankush is back to his old ways. They had a couple of tough games in the last 2 weeks. The Pirates forced a TIE against Dabang Delhi which was a commendable performance. Though they could have pushed hard for a victory, it was prudent to share points rather than risk losing. Post this match, the Pirates almost stumbled against the Bengaluru Bulls.

They were lucky to force a TIE in this match which saw a complete breakdown of their defense. Though young raider Sandeep Kumar scored 14 out of the total 29 team points, it was all-rounder Ankit who saved the day with a burst of 8 points. Patna will have to be careful of such breakdowns in the future as they cannot afford to let this happen in a knock out game.
