Kashi Kings had a respectable campaign in the first season of UPKL. They finished fourth on the points table before losing out in the semi-finals against Sangam Challengers. While they showed flashes of quality, inconsistency at important moments ultimately cost them a place in the final.

The Kings have put together a balanced squad this season. Headed by Sahul Kumar, who was picked up for Rs 1.35 lakhs, will be expected to lead from the front, both in terms of raiding output and on-mat leadership. Arjun Sirohi and Prashant Kumar provide some additional raiding options, while Vikul Lamba and Vikrant Tomar offer support across departments.

Defensively, Kashi will depend on players like Harendra Kumar, Dhananjay Kumar, and Shrikant Tewathia to tighten things up against one of the league's most dangerous raiding units. One area the Kings must improve is closing out tight matches, something they struggled with during the latter stages of last season.

If Kashi Kings are to challenge the defending champions, they will need a near-perfect performance and a disciplined approach, especially in defense.
