Bengaluru Bulls started as favourites for the India betting sites in their opening encounter against U Mumba but we decimated thrice in terms of all outs thus exposing the chinks in their armour. Even though Pawan and Chandran Ranjith have shown good form in their raiding, their defence will be tested against the Thaliavas.

The Thalaivas punched above their weight to steal a tie in their opening encounter against the Titans even after a slow start. Their defence has been immaculate with Surjeet leading the pack and Mohit and Sahil doing very well in the corner positions. 

Both were able to neutralize Bahubali Sid Desai in the opening encounter and will be looking to extend the same hospitality to Pawan Sehrawat. 

Manjeet surprised everyone scoring a super 10 for the Thalaivas while the Bulls defence will have to work overtime to curb the Tamil raiders.

Law of averages caught up with the Thalaivas as they almost scripted a heist in their opening encounter against the mighty Telegu Titans. Slow starters Thalaivas made a statement when their counter attacks worked and they took control of the game after about 10 minutes into the match.

The most impressive aspect for the Thalaivas was the combination of Mohit and Sahil along with the devastating tackles by veteran Surjeet. 13 tackle points and 2 all out’s helped them crawl back into the game though they would have loved to win the game rather than share the exploits.

Another revelation for the Thalaivas was the raiding of Manjeet who scored a Super 10 and lead the raiding party while Prapanjan supported him well. 

Another feather in the cap for the Thalaiva defense was that they were able to neutralize Bhaubali Sid Desai and kept him of the mat for a long time thus enabling them to attack the other members of the opposition. They will continue this trick against the Bulls to try and keep Pawan Sehrawat out of the game. 

Thailaivas look very dangerous at the beginning of this season.

● 12 tackle points collectively for Surjeet, Mohit and Sahil.

Bengaluru Bulls Preview

Slow to start the season, Bulls were stunned with an all out from U Mumba in the 8th minute of the game though they came close to returning the favour back by the end of the half. Pawan will take some time to get into rhythm but the silver lining for the bulls was Chandran Ranjith. 

Coach Randhir Singh will have a lot to repair work at hand as far as the defence combinations are concerned. Pawan Sehrawat spearheads the raiding for them but he looks a bit out of shape for a star raider. Siddhart Desai, Abhishek, Pardeep Narwal look physically more stronger and leaner than Pawan. This may have taken away the sting from his raiding, but these are early days in the tournament and Pawan will be expected to start exploding. 

Chandran Ranjith scored a super 10 in their first match and this is a good sign. The biggest worry for the Bulls is their defence. Only 2 Super Raids and 5 tackle points in all do not win you a game of Kabaddi. Add to that, the Bulls were all out thrice in the match.  As a defender, Mahender disappointed and the cover corner combinations didn’t work either.

Areas of Concern:

● Only 5 tackle points in the first match.

● Pawan Sehrawat neutralized by the opposition. 

● Inefficient Cover Corner combinations

● The only ray of hope is both Pawan and Chandran Ranjith scored Super 10’s

Winning Prediction

Tamil Thalaivas have come up with creative ways to cut the supply lines of the opposition raiders. They look to be a completely different side now. Their defenders look in good form, so do their raiders- Prapanjan and Manjeet. They have also shown the heart to come back from difficult positions and fight back.

Bengaluru Bulls have a lot of rework on as they come into this match.  Defence combinations will be their major headache. Pawan needs to increase his agility and in doing do help his defenders cover up for their mistakes. It will be difficult for the Bulls to go past the resurgent Thalaivas.

Tamil Thalaivas will beat the Bulls.
