Welcome to another version of the southern derby where the Telegu Titans will take on the table toppers Bengaluru Bulls. Telegu Titans have a bleak future as they have won just 1 game in the season. All they can do is trouble other teams in their journey upward. 

The Bengaluru Bulls have been a tactically strong team. It may not dominate the game but the Bulls are always in control. They had a tough time handling the Tamil Thalaiva who they eventually defeated. Since they are placed comfortably in the points table, the Bulls have been experimenting with their combinations. 

The Telegu Titans have been disappointing as they still occupy the last place in the points table. They have not been able to get a decent combination on the mat even though they have many superstars in their squad. This is unfortunate for their fans. They say that the choice you make determines your future. The Telegu Titans gambled with some big names at the auctions setting up a dream season. But names don’t earn you points, you need a decent combination on the mat. Unfortunately, nothing has gone right for the Telegu Titans. Their bad run continues and they languish at the bottom of the points table with just 1 win in 13 games.

They will be meeting the Bulls after 79 games have been played this season. The Bulls are at the summit while the Telegu Titans haven’t even started their journey. The Titans were able to beat the Patna Pirates earlier in the season. That is the only moment of glory for them. 

Earlier in the week they lost to Dabang Delhi and then to the UP Yodha. Star raider Siddharth Desai has started to deliver. He has earned over 50 raid points in the last 5 games. Captain Surjeet and left corner Vishal Bharadwaj have scored well in the last few games. This has allowed the Telegu Titans to at least give a fight to their opponents. The fans are happy even though the Titans are not able to win games.

Interestingly the Telegu Titans have executed 20 Super tackles which are the highest by any team. It is an interesting statistic but it also proves that the Titans are on the back foot most of the time. Defender Ankit has been a revelation in the last few games and he needs to be groomed well. 

Considering their current form, the Telegu Titans will not be bullish in dreaming of taming the Bulls. But Kabaddi can be unpredictable and the Titans can at least give the Bulls a hard time on the mat.

Bengaluru Bulls Preview

The former champions have been relentless on the mat this season. They have been tactically superior. The Bulls have got themselves in a strong position and that has allowed them to try out different options. They have contingency plans and the Bulls are able to adapt to different match conditions.

They are back on top of the points table after winning back-to-back games. They beat the Haryana Steelers followed by a victory over the Tamil Thalaiva. 

The Bulls have conducted 232 successful team raids out of their 541 team raids which are very impressive. 

They have executed 123 successful team tackles which makes them a very difficult side to beat. 

They have inflicted 25 all-outs and they are joint toppers in this regard with the Jaipur Pink Panthers.

The Bengaluru Bulls have relied on teamwork. They are sorted in their raiding department and vibrant in their defense. They have utilized the services of raiders Vikash Kandola, Bharat, and Neeraj Narwal efficiently. Bharat has earned 143 raid points in 13 games which includes 9 Super 10’s. 

Left corner Saurabh Nandal has been lethal with 42 successful tackles in 13 games. He has been supported by defenders Aman and Mahender Singh. Right Cover Mayur Kadam has been good but in phases. 

Bengaluru Bulls have a very good record against the Telegu Titans. They can use this match not only to gain points but to try out new combinations as they still have a lot of matches to play. They have tried all-rounders like Sachin Narwal and Narender Hooda along with raider G B More. The Bulls need to focus on getting more bonus points and also improving their DoD raid efficiency. 

The Bengaluru Bulls still need to win a few more games by large margins so that they can secure their place in the top 6 for the playoff.

Winning Prediction

The Bulls will clash with the Telegu Titans in the second version of the southern derby. The Telegu Titans have not been able to put up a decent show in most of their games. They have good individual players but all have not resonated together. 

The Titans will expect defenders Parvesh Bhaiswal and Vishal Bharadwaj to have a great day together. Vishal has been audacious in his approach in the last few games and he will target the Bulls raider Bharat. Iranian Mohsen Magsoulou will support Siddharth in the raids as well as assist the defense. Siddharth Desai will score another Super 10 but not as big as his earlier games.

Raider Bharat will earn handsomely and he will be supported well by Neeraj Narwal. Raider Vikash Kandola has been slightly out of form in the last few games but he will take this opportunity to exploit the brittle Telegu defense. This raiding income will be good enough for the Bulls. Defender Saurav Nandal will be aggressive from the beginning and this might surprise the Telegu raiders. 

The Titans will be aggressive in the first half but their intensity will reduce as the match progresses.
