Telegu Titans and Gujarat Fortune Giants have broken the hearts of many this season including their own. Both teams are full of characters and attitude but they never took off. Both find themselves at the bottom of the points table with no light at the end of the tunnel. The Titans got hammered by U Mumba in the last match and the Fortune Giants could not beat the Pirates who stole the match right under their nose.

The Titans could not recover from the injury to Bahubali Siddhart Desai while the Fortune Giants could never blow their rocket beyond the launch pad. It has been a very disappointing season for them.

Now that they play each other, pride and hope of a miracle will keep them going. The Titans have brave new players trying to impress teams with their skills. While raiders Ankit Beniwal and Rakesh Gowda have been earning raid points, young Galla Raju played well in the last match. Defenders Prince and Mohammad Shihas got the better of opposition raiders to raise some hope.

For the Fortune Giants Iranian Hadi Osterak and Mahendra Rajput were in good touch, while the regulars Sunil, Parvesh and raider Ajay were completely out of sorts. The major issue with the Giants is that they are not ready to innovate and adapt.

It is very surprising and hard to believe that Telegu Titans have not been able to win a single match this season and find themselves at the bottom of the points table after 7 matches. They are a much better team but haven't fired at all this time. Runners up in the second season, now are fighting for survival. Siddharth Desai is out of action , veteran Rohit Kumar is past his prime, right corner Ruturaj Koravi and defender Surinder have not been able to get in any form till now, they are dependent on young raiders like Rajneesh, Ankit Beniwal, Rakesh Gowda and Galla Raju.

They have inflicted 10 all outs and conceded 10 too.

Overall they have conceded 262 points to their opposition.

The other problem that the Titans have not been able to sort out is the amount of unforced errors by their defence. They have a high percentage of unsuccessful advance tackles. Coach Jagadeesha Kumble will have to try out untested players in the remaining matches hoping that they perform and the Titans atleast open their account of winning a match. They have 2 TIED results and in both matches they looked on song. The Titans will have to reboot and recollect their lost form in other to give their fans some hope in the remainder of the league.

Gujarat Giants Preview

It is not just surprising but disappointing to see Fortune Giants at the 11th spot in the points table with just one victory to their name. They have a typical way of playing and like to bring the opposition out of their comfort zone. But unfortunately the Fortune Giants don't know how to react when the opposition does this to them. The Fortune Giants have not been able to evolve or innovate their style of kabaddi and they find themselves at the end of the barrel.

Some statistics-

Their topmost defender Girish Ernak has earned just 14 tackle points in 7 games.

They have conceded 8 all outs and inflicted only 5 in 7 games.

Because they play as per a standard plan they have not been able to adapt to changing conditions of the match. Their score difference may not be too high but they haven't even scored enough in these 7 matches out of which they lost 4.

Rakesh Narwal, Rakesh and Mahendra Rajput have been good in their raiding but Ajay has not been able to rise to the occasion. The biggest disappointment has been the misfiring of their most deadly combo of Sunil and Parvesh. Fortune Giants were always successful when both these were performing. The Fortune Giants have also been guilty of silly mistakes in various matches and the most common was players going out of bound.

Hope they realize this before it's too late for them in this season.

This will be entertaining encounter as two teams who are at the bottom of the points table will face each other. Both teams have more problems to take care off rather than something to offer. Telegu Titans are in a slight advantageous position as they have some good young raiders who are doing well. Rajneesh, Ankit Beniwal and Rakesh Gowda. With the Fortune Giants defence completely out of sorts, Telegu might just have a party.

Emotions will run high for sure as the Fortune Giants have not been able to control their emotions. Their players and their coach have been shown the green card. Gujarat Fortune Giants have to take a leap of faith now if they want to see through the rest of the season. In the current scenario it will be a tough match for them against the Titans.
