Telugu Titans Preview

Essentially a very strong team, Titans lost direction midway last season. Except for season 3, they haven’t been able to full fill their potential. Hence they have opted for a simple strategy this time. Bet on 2 big guns and let the soldiers rally around them.

Rohit Kumar and Siddharth Desai is a formidable raiding party, which can wreck havoc any time of the day. If both fire for all cylinders, Titan’s will be able to score huge victories.  Siddharth Desai captured the imagination of all fans when he scored 15 points in his debut match and crossed 50 in just 4 matches. 

But more dangerous than the stars will be efficient battle hardened players like Vishal Bharadwaj, Ruturaj Koravi, Surinder Singh, Sandeep Kandola. Team combination of the Titan’s looks the most balanced. With 44% average successful raids, they would be expecting super 10’s regularly from Sid Desai and Rohit. 

Their main weapon would be stealing bonus points and inflicting all out’s. This is the team to watch out for as they will enter the ring with a mission of taking it all the way this time.

Tamil Thalaivas Preview

Since the first season, Tamil Thalaiva’s have been going through an emotional and topsy turvy journey. A team full of stars, immense fan support and great kabbadi tradition haven’t been able to live up to expectations. 

Looks like this season they will be able to redeem themselves. This time they have invested heavily in raiders and all rounder's. Expect an all out attack from the Thalaivas’s this season.

Prapanjan and S Athul for the core of the attack along with Manjeet and Ajinkya Pawar for company. A lot will also depend on experienced campaigners like Surjeet and Selvam. 

Guess this is the season of "Whistle Podu" for the Thalaiva’s. Their priority this season will be stealing bonus points and inflicting all out’s which they have been very a bad at. Overall, the Thalaiva’s have been able to get only 293 bonus points till now and have inflicted mere 54 all outs’ till date. 

Records and statistics may not favour them, but their style, swag and a will to win will always be at display on the mat.

It will be interesting to see how both the teams approach the game, as they finished at the bottom of the points table last time around. But this will be a very difficult first match for the Thalaiva’s as they will be up against the rampaging Rohit Kumar and Siddharth Desai. Their only hope would be that these stars would be rusty to begin.

Only a team effort will help Thailava’s give a fight to the Titan’s. 

Titan’s on the other hand can expect a big win to begin their campaign. Thailaiva’s will have to brew the right corner cover combination with either Surjeet-Himanshu or Abhishek- Sagar spoiling the party for the Titan’s.

Titans will win the first southern derby with a huge margin.
