These are the gladiators of the Bengaluru Bulls. Their defense was also phenomenal which has become one of their strong points.

Both teams are placed in the middle of the points table and seriously need to win every match from here to move up the ladder. This season they are without master tactician Sultan Fazel Attrachali and that has had a big impact on them. Though U Mumba has recovered well after a dicey start, they find themselves in the 6th position in the points table. They are used to this as they have hovered at this position for most of the seasons of late.

They had a tough time against the Haryana Steelers in their last game. This proves that Mumba has not been able to dominate any game as they have to fight tooth and nail till the end. This results in a victory or a loss by a small margin and many times U Mumba has had to settle for a TIE.

They have won 3 out of their 5 games and now they take on the Bengaluru Bulls who are placed just above them in the points table. U Mumba enjoyed a fantastic record over the Bulls as they have won 12 out of their 16 games which are quite surprising. Mumba was able to beat the Bulls twice in the last season even though the Bulls had Hi flyer Pawan Sehrawat in their camp. This will give the Mumba players a lot of energy and optimism. The defense is slippery but on occasions it is impregnable. U Mumba will have to give their best in every game in order to remain in the top half of the points table. Their defense will have to deal with the deadly combo of Bharat and Vikash Kandola while Ghuman and Jai Bhagwan may have a tough time escaping from the clutches of the Bengaluru defense.

Bengaluru Bulls Preview

The Bengaluru Bulls have always been an exciting squad. They ruled the mat with the help of Hi Flyer Pawan Sehrawat, but this season they have developed new survival skills. They have raiders like Bharat and Vikash Kandola who have been effective together. This allows them to use more vibrant tactics as they are not dependent on any single raider. This has yielded results as they are placed 5th in the points table.

They have won 3 out of their 5 games and the games they lost were very close ones. They lost to the Puneri Paltan by a margin of 2 points while the Bengal Warriors hammered them by 9 points. Otherwise, the Bulls have been moving ahead in the points table quietly. Raiders Vikash and Bharat have earned 87 points together in 5 games. Their defense has been fantastic as Saurav Nandal, Aman and Mahender have been precise and lethal. Right-cover Mayur Kadam has not been in great touch as he has been guilty of advanced tackles which put pressure on the other defenders.

Interestingly the Bulls do not have a great record against U Mumba. They have won just 4 out of their 16 games. The last game that the Bulls won was way back in 2019, before the pandemic. Hence they will surely look forward to correcting this statistic.

Both teams have been mavericks when it comes to facing each other. But their matches bring a lot of excitement and high-voltage drama. U Mumba has been living hand to mouth, as they do not have the best raiders, and neither their defense is exemplary. Captain Surinder Singh will be the key as his form decides the course of the match for U Mumba. He was on fire against the Haryana Steelers with 6 points and he will challenge raiders Vikash and Bharat. Harender and Surinder will be the key for Mumba. They do not have any backup raiders if in case Ghuman or Jai Bhagwan do not score.

But both of these players have not displayed that kind of consistency in the season. Hence Bharat will loot the Mumba defense. Defenders Aman and Saurav Nandal will trap Ghuman and, Jai Bhagwan and make it difficult for Mumba to score. This is a match where the Bulls have an upper hand. This should be a high-scoring game.
