U Mumba has been impressive this season. Without any big names, Mumba has been able to forge a combination of young raiders and defenders. They have punched above their weight and that has helped them to move to the 4th spot in the points table. As the season began, U Mumba looked like a one-dimensional team, but over the period of 10 games, they have learned very quickly. 

They have a good team of raiders in the form of Ghuman Singh, Jai Bhagwan, Ashish, and Iranian Haiderali Ekrami. Captain Surender Singh leads the defense along with Harender, left corner Mohit, and right corner Rinku. Rinku was courageous to play the game against the Patna Pirates even though he had suffered a jaw injury. He executed some fine tackles with bandages all over his face.

This kind of assertiveness has helped Mumba tide of bad times. Before losing to the Patna Pirates, U Mumba had beaten the Gujarat Fortune Giants, Bengal Warriors, and the Telegu Titans. Mumba lost the plot against the Pirates late in the second half. They led the first half by 5 points as they had wiped the entire Patna team once. But Mumba lost steam in the second half and was all-out twice which resulted in the Pirates beating them by just 3 points. U Mumba will have to make sure that they do not repeat these mistakes.

Their raiding income is decent but it needs to jump to higher levels so as to compensate for any unforced errors by the defense, especially in the second half of the match.

Jaipur Pink Panthers have been one of the most impressive teams of the season. They retained the core from last season and got important players in the auctions. Coach Sanjeev Baliyan has used these resources intelligently to get the Pink Panthers to the 3rd spot in the points table.

Before beating the defending champions in their last game, the Pink Panthers had a sudden drop in form. They lost 3 consecutive games thus casting doubts on their team prowess. They lost to the Puneri Paltan followed by a surprise defeat at the hands of the Tamil Thalaiva and then a defeat to the Bengaluru Bulls. But Jaipur has made a solid comeback as they beat Dabang Delhi.

Fortunately for the Pink Panthers, star of yesteryears Rahul Chaudhary has been consistent as he completed 1000 raid points in his PKL career. He is just the 3rd raider to achieve this milestone. Raider Arjun Deshwal with 107 raid points this season has been their star raider. V Ajith has also contributed significantly thus making the Pink Panthers a multi-dimensional raiding team. 

Captain Sunil Kumar has induced a lot of confidence in the defense as he leads the list of top defenders this season. He has executed 32 successful tackles in 10 games. Pocket dynamo left corner Ankush has shared the responsibilities equally with 32 successful tackles. This makes the Pink Panthers a very dangerous team.

Jaipur Pink Panthers has shared honors with U Mumba in the last 2 seasons but overall they need to improve their record against Mumba. Jaipur has won just 7 out of their 19 encounters with 2 matches ending in a TIE. 

The Pink Panthers also have the services of raider Bhavani Rajput as well as Devank. Right corner Sahul Kumar was at his best the last season, but this time he hasn’t been consistent. Expect another high-voltage, high-adrenalin encounter between two good teams this season. U Mumba has forged a deadly combination making it difficult to beat. But time and again they lose steam at crucial moments in the game. Raiders Ashish, Jai Bhagwan, Heiderali Ekrami, and Ghuman Singh will have to loot raid points throughout the match. Captain Surender will trouble the Jaipur raiders but defender Harender has to improve on his earnings. Coach Anil Chaprana cannot afford to make too many changes to the squad. 

Jaipur Pink Panthers found their mojo against Dabang Delhi and they will look forward to continuing their stranglehold over their opponents. Arjun Deshwal will be difficult to rein in while V Ajith will trouble his former team. Left corner Ankush will trouble the Mumba raiders with his lethal double ankle holds. 

This will be one of the most entertaining matches of the season. Both teams need to keep up the momentum in order to remain in the top 4 in the points table.
