One of the most inconsistent sides in the tournament is Patna Pirates. They are down on resources but once in a while they play like champions. They thrashed the Haryana Steelers in the last match by 13 points. Young raider Manjeet made a massive comeback as he scored a Super 10 after a long time. The Patna defense was top notch as Krishnan scored a Hi 5 apart from left corner Ankit scoring 4 points and captain Neeraj Kumar earning 3 tackle points. Hence the Patna Pirates can beat any team in the tournament albeit they maintain this rhythm and intensity.

The Pirates are placed 7th in the points table with 4 victories from 8 matches. The Pirates need to warm up in the new-year so that they can be a force to reckon with. Raider Sachin has been their torch-bearer for a few years. But the Pirates cannot depend on his earnings alone.
