With six matches left, the Yodha’s have already lost more matches this season 8 than they did during the entirety of Pro Kabaddi season 7. The Titans on the other hand have once again failed to climb up the ladder after last season’s disappointment. With just one win in their 15 games, play-offs seem like a dream now. 

With no wins in their last 4 games for both the teams, this match will be very crucial to get maximum points. The team from Hyderabad has been very unlucky this season. They’ve shown glimpses of their talent, but haven’t been able to put the points on the board. Posting just 22 points from their 15 games, the Titans can go all-out in their the last 7 games. Expect some carefree Kabaddi from them as they play for pride. 

Bahubali Siddharth Desai’s absence early in the season proved to be a big miss for the team. His spark and presence on the mat has proved to be crucial in the past. 

The Titans’ top two raiders this season have been Rajnish and Ankit Beniwal. Both have scored 53 raid points, but Rajnish has achieved this mark in just 8 games. Rajnish Dalal has now missed the last 3 games, and Titans would pray that one of him or Bahubali Siddharth Desai would return to the mat soon. Sadly, the two best raiders for the Titans are only 22nd and 23rd best in the league so far. 

The Titans have inflicted just 16 all outs in their 15 games, and conceded 21 (second highest in the league). With their raiders misfiring, the defence has had to step up this season. But even their numbers haven’t been too impressive. The team has scored 142 tackle points, which is only 8th best in the league. 

Left corner defender Sandeep Kandola has been their best defender, but even he has been inconsistent. He has 35 successful tackles to his name, and 36 tackle points. Defender Surinder has been far from his best this season and the Titans should look for alternate plans. 

With nothing to lose now as the tournament progresses, the Titans can play some carefree Kabaddi and provide their fans some entertaining matches.

With four consecutive losses, the UP Yodha’s are in danger of slipping out of the play-offs race. Poor defensive show in their last three games has cost them crucial points. The Yodha’s have conceded 112 points in these three games, and haven’t been proactive while defending. They scored just 2 tackle points in the entire game against the Puneri Paltan. 

Star player Pardeep Narwal has shown good rhythm recently, but is nowhere close to Hi flyer Pawan Sehrawat or King Maninder Singh. Surender Gill in fact has proved to be their most successful raider this season. He has notched up 139 raid points so far compared to the 107 from Pardeep Narwal. Surender’s strike rate has played an important role in getting the Yoddhas quick points during games.

Defenders Nitesh Kumar and Sumit are in the top 10 of the league for most tackle points, but it's the crucial moments where the Yodha’s have faltered defensively. The Yodha’s lead the league for the most super tackles (21) but haven’t capitalised on their raider’s performance. This match will be an opportunity for them to overhaul their defensive, correct all the lapses and get back to winning ways. They cannot afford any leakages in their boat as the knock out phase is around the horizon.

A win here could put things back on track for the Yodha’s. The 5 points will push them up into 5th place, albeit other teams will also be looking to add points tonight.

Both the teams have had their fair share of struggles recently but this could be a game changer for the UP Yodha. The full 5 points have eluded them for a while, but a win would improve their play-off chances massively. Surender Gill and Pardeep Narwal will have to add points quickly and get the Titans under pressure. The Yodha defence will have to support their raiders by inflicting more super tackles, something that they’ve known for this season. Yodha will walk into the match more confident having beaten the Titans earlier in the season by a margin of 6 points. But the Titans are playing for pride more than anything. They will look forward to compete and make the Yodha sweat for each and every point. If the Titans are able to hold their nerve, this could well be their second win of the season.
